Mr. Larry Barrett has over 40 years in Naval Special Warfare and related civilian arenas.  Mr. Barrett spent 5 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and 18 years in the U.S. Navy SEAL Teams.  He is a founding member of “SEAL Team Six” Counter-Terrorist Unit and “Red Cell” an Anti-Terrorist/Site Analysis Team.

Mr. Barrett has planned and conducted numerous Red Team type exercises worldwide. These events included initial planning, facility penetrations with written and video debriefs and recommendations in security enhancements and risk management.

A decorated combat veteran, he retired from the Navy in 1994 as a Master Chief Weapons/Ordnance Specialist with 23 years service. He is a recognized expert in land warfare and maritime training for military, civilian and government agency personnel in Counter and Anti-Terrorism techniques. This includes CQB (Close Quarters Battle), Assault Team Leader, Assault Planner for various U.S. Military missions to include Hostage Rescue Instructor, Improvised Explosive Devices, and Counter/Anti-Terrorism Driving Instructor. He has qualified as an Air Traffic Controller, Multi-Engine Instrument Instrument Airplane and Commercial Helicopter pilot. Mr. Barrett has completed numerous NIMS Courses and is well versed in NIMS procedures. He is trained in Electronic IED’s, is PCII Certified and briefed on Chemical Terrorism Vulnerability Information. He has assisted various jurisdictions in understanding the information/intelligence fusion process and in creating Fusion Centers nationwide.

Mr. Barrett has been trained by the U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service in VIP Protection and worked in the private sector as worldwide Protective Security for Maritime clients including the Mega Yacht industry and conducted Counter-Surveillance in the Washington D.C. area. He was part of the Red Cell Team that trained the first U.S. Department of State Mobile Training Team (MTT) members.

He has previous experience as a Subject Matter Expert, Senior Project Analyst and Assault Planner providing recommendations for risk reduction and as a Master Instructor conducting briefings on Counter/Anti-Terrorism to various Federal, State and local clients. Mr. Barrett was a member of the 2009 Team of The Year at A-T Solutions. He was an integral part of the SAV (Site Assist Visit) program in support of DHS (Department of Homeland Security). He was part of the SAV for the California Waterways and asked for by name to conduct an SAV for the Louisiana Offshore Oil Platforms.  Mr. Barrett has conducted more than  (12) SAV’s on CI/KR (Critical Infrastructure/Key Resources) and presented over (20) PSCT’s(Private Sector Counter Terrorism), (5) First Responder Bombing Prevention courses and (6) NSSE, (National Special Security Event), classes for Presidential Inaugural Personnel in 2008. He is also involved in establishing and presenting a Surveillance Detection Course as well as preparing and conducting numerous briefings on Anti-Terrorism for various clients.
